AND THEY JUST POSTED THEIR CALENDAR FOR PHASE 3 OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

At this point it'd probably take a dinner with Neil deGrasse Tyson, Misato Katsuragi, Motoko Kusanagi, Batou, a Tachikoma, or all of the above, to make today better.

So who's up for a couple more Ultron clips?

Or four, I guess.

Well I finally got to see the movie tonight and it did not disappoint. It was quite spectacular.

I liked this movie. I loved it. Somehow, I still feel that Avengers 1 was a little bit better. It's not like you're sitting there the whole of Age of Ultron dwelling on it -- you won't be -- but it's something that occurred to me a little bit later while thinking about where the franchise came from, and where it's at now.

Well, the first Avengers movie really represented something unprecedented, I think that could be a factor there. But Age of Ultron was more than a worthy follow-up, IMHO.

I'm really kind of bummed that Quicksilver bought it, he was a lot cooler in this movie than I thought he would be.

Agreed. I really enjoyed it as well. I wasn't sure what I was going to think of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, but they were great. Even crazier realizing that Quicksilver was Kick-Ass, and the X-Men Quicksilver was Kick-Ass's buddy Todd.

I knew the former, but I didn't realize the latter. o_o

Also, both Avenger-Maximoffs were in Godzilla, too...

Yeah, I came across that today as well. I really can't believe that was the same dorky kid that was in Kick Ass.

No shit, he's...well, huge now. Physically. In fact I originally thought he might be too big for Quicksilver, but it worked.

Yeah, it really did. He did quite well. I do like that each movie took him a different direction, and both worked very well. I eagerly await the Bluray so I can see deleted scenes to see the bits that Loki was cut from. Assuming they include them.

My brother said there's going to be an extended version of this movie, too, and he keeps a pretty close eye on this stuff. So that'll be...four movies I'm currently waiting on the extended versions of. :? Would be somewhat reassuring to get definite dates on at least a couple of them...but there were several things in this one that I'd really like to see elaborated on, and felt a little bit rushed. Particularly the visions each character experienced, it kind of felt like they skipped over some important stuff with those.

As for Quicksilver, I think personality-wise, the Age of Ultron version was somewhat closer to his portrayal in the comics than the Days of Future Past version was. Although in the comics, he's actually a much bigger dick than he was in either movie. :P He was also depicted as being much younger in DoFP than he was in AoU, so that has to factor in somewhat as well.

Which are the other movies? Thus far I've just been waiting for the final Hobbit film so I can hate it in its entirety.

That's...an interesting reason. o_o Anyway, yeah, that one, plus Days of Future Past, Godzilla, and now Age of Ultron.

I was not aware that Days of Future Past or Godzilla were getting extended versions. That's cool. Also I am glad to hear this is getting one. I really, really enjoyed it. It even made me want to play Marvel Heroes 2015 some more. :D
