I recall being told that yes, Yoshiki went crazy (again), Toshi had some nasty throat problems(surgery even?) and was it Heath that also got really sick? Wasn't the nervous backers due partly to the fact that they planned to release a 30 minute song as their first album as well? Hopefully this time will go better. I do hope the new album gets released as an actual CD here, and not just on iTunes.

Yes, I had forgotten Heath's illness. Nice catch.

Well, you were the one that told the story originally. :) Guess I did pay attention to stuff you said once in a while. ;)

Assuming this new album does hit stores, it is interesting to note it would not be X's first domestic release, as a little collection-type thing was released 6-7 years containg a CD and DVD, which were the STAR Box CD and the CLIPS 1 DVD. I wonder if thats actually still available....

Kind of, I guess It loosk like it costs more than the imports now, lol.

It goes to show that there really is an appropriate post for every image, no matter how unlikely, if you only wait long enough.

I wasn't trying to one up you, I mean really, I paid how much for the imports compared to the $20 the Tofu records release was?

Title says it. New album this fall with around 10 tracks, is to be released simultaneously in the US and Japan. Members of X are playing Oatakon this year, and the full band is playing Lalapoloza. A ten city US tour to follow this fall in support of the album. 6 cities named.... maybe Minneapolis will be one of the other 4.

So...correct me if I'm wrong, but we are still waiting for this album to come out nearly seven years later, are we not?

I realize I'm hardly one to talk with the pace of my writing and everything, but still.

It would seem so. To be fair Dahlia got delayed time and time and time again as well. Hell, I think 7 of the 10 tracks had been released as singles by the time the damn thing came out. This time I believe we have 3-4 songs released from it already also. If they even wind up on the album. Yoshiki is saying again that it'll be out this year. We'll see. :P

Be fair, one of those was just re-recording their first album.

Still more actual recording time than X has put in. :P But in the interest of "fairness", I will note that X has played a number of high-profile international shows and filmed an autobiographical movie, and Yoshiki did an entire classical solo tour (when he wasn't busy taking selfies with Britney Spears, Stan Lee and Lars Ulrich :P ).
