Behold, I am STILL the master of copy/paste! :rbg:

Music is something I both enjoy listening to, and draw a great deal of creative and emotional inspiration from. I know that some of the rest of you also have similar habits and interests. Anyway, here are some favorite bands and musicians of mine, and some of the stuff I listen to. More elaboration to follow, if anyone is interested and when I feel like adding to it.

My tastes obviously trend quite heavily toward one particular category. :rbg:

Remember when you posted that thread back at C-GEN entitled, "Your Taste in Music Sucks"?

You probably think you are. However my tastes have shifted into more electronica, indie, and light rock.

... let the mocking begin.

Actually I think the exact title of the old thread in question was "Your Favorite Band Sucks Ass", and it was a joke, as you may recall. Not trying to pretend I'm completely above such humor now, but I'm making an effort, at least. :P

Secondly, the thing about tastes and opinions is that they're personal. Everyone has their own. And the point of this particular thread is (supposed to be) sharing ours, rather than mocking others'. ;)

Your Favourite Band Sucks Ass...

...and your mother is gay
, or something to that degree.

She's experimenting, by the way.

I'm not going to post such an extensive list at this time, just some of my current favorites.... and just FYI, technically Alice in Chains and X Japan are no longer out of commission, being as both have recorded and released new material recently. :)

Most of mine are going to be the European Power/Symphonic metal types.

Sonata Arctica
Nightwish
Epica
Krypteria
Amberian Dawn
Dream Theater
X Japan
subtlerage

Many, many more I enjoy a lot, but these top my listening choice most often. :)

Oh, and for some amsuing old school video game rap/comedy stuff, The Adventures of Duane and BrandO.

I can handle any kind of music... so long as it's not opera :o

That being said, I don't really have a favourite genre or band so to speak, but I will say that I think favourably of ES Posthumus.
Check these out: Nara (Cold Case theme) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPvTOwxCecM
Pompeii (This should be used in the most epic movie ever. Of all time.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GusLypfx7OQ
Tikal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTl_hWZt8DA

Argh, my pasting skills suck. But I encourage you to check them out.
