Interesting character evaluations. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether Zaeed's right eye is artificial, or if that eye is simply blind as a result of the gunshot. I've seen speculation about the latter, but in all honesty I don't know for certain that the former isn't the case.

As for Commander Shepard, it could be considered that they would not have survived against the Collectors had they not previously been killed and then rebuilt by Cerberus, whose cybernetic enhancements make Shepard far stronger, faster, and tougher than they once were. These improvements can also be improved upon to improve either him or her further. Consider, for example, that Shepard can wield the Widow sniper rifle and Claymore shotgun, neither of which can be used by any human or human-like alien in the game. Only Geth can use the Widow without first mounting it to control the bone-shattering recoil, and only Krogan can use the Claymore, for the same reason. The heavy skin, muscle, and bone weave upgrades Shepard installs would also make either him or her vastly more difficult to subdue.
This is something I hope they explore in greater depth in ME3, and I don't mean in a purely cosmetic sense. The second game did a little bit, more so in the DLC missions than in the "main" game, in my opinion. But the fact that Shepard is now a cybernetically-augmented superhuman (who never asked for it) raises some very interesting possibilities which I think should not be overlooked.

Oh, and on a vaguely related note...hey, look! You can even order yourself a life-size replica M-8 Avenger for...only $650!! :imyourdaddy:

Not even I am that big a fan. Well...I might be, if I could afford it. But since I can't...

Something people have noticed, that I only saw when they pointed it out, is that the 'heavy melee' finishers differ based on whether your class is tech or biotic based. Tech classes use an omniblade, and biotic classes use the Howling Blue Samara Fist of Fury.

I think the extent of my fandom is limited to the CE artbook and... this (yeah, that N7 symbol lights up, too):

Made some minor edits and added an additional touch of tactical analysis to the main ME1 and ME2 posts.

Also, I really need to get (back) to work on the ME3 posts...
