Yup, it's a chilly 30 degrees down here. Merry Christmas.
Also thinking of posting something different here from Terry Pratchett's "Hogfather" (Santa Claus by another name), set in his Discworld universe. I admit, I'm not very familiar with his series, and I remember little of the movie, but there's this one scene that's always been stuck in my head. It's after Santa is saved, and Death explains the human need to create fantasy and fairy tales. And if you think about it, it makes Christmas all the more special and precious in a cold, uncaring, unjust world.
