Re: Your screen resolution?

1920x1080p, though I want to upgrade that ancient monitor pretty soon.

EDIT: BTW, 2,560 x 1,440 is Quad HD, at 16:9, anyway (4x 1280 x 720, which is HD). Kinda surprised it's not included in your poll. :P

Re: RSA-2048 and AES-128 ransomware

I'd use Bitdefender or another reputable Antivirus program, too. MalwareBytes is antimalware specifically, and while it can catch viruses, that's not what its specific purpose is. Since BitDefender let me know just now, I thought I'd let you know they've got an extra 4 months three when you get thei...

Re: RSA-2048 and AES-128 ransomware

Christ. I don't know what you can really do to decrypt the files at this point, aside from paying, but to prevent this in future, I can happily recommend the combination of Bitdefender Premium and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. They're the only programs I really trust except for maybe Kaspersky, since s...

Re: Assassin's Creed feat. Michael Fassbender

The claw looks like it's designed to confine the subject to both the Animus and that room, while allowing the subject freedom of movement while enthralled. This is important, which I will talk about in a moment. Remember. Though, that the Animus itself is essentially just an interface, a computer, a...

Re: XCOM 2

At the end, yes: but I figured it was better to take that risk knowing how inaccurate the Troopers are without the Officer to buff them. After all, I might've lost one or even both of the troops they shot at, but it was better than the guaranteed loss of them if the turn counter ticked to zero. At t...

Re: XCOM 2

FjZIryUGV04 Honestly, I think it'd be better for me to show than to tell. So, here's me on my 9th ( :!: :!: :!: ) Iron Man campaign, about the third mission in, if I recall. I wanted to demonstrate how in XCOM 2 you have to have a much faster mind for both tactics and overall strategy, because you'...

Re: Halo 5: Guardians

The advertising sold the game as a huge investigative journey, where you'd play as Chief/Blue Team without a full idea of his motives, and then as Locke/Osiris hunting them trying, trying to piece the truth together. And, in the end, we got none of that. ONI didn't even get the opportunity to fake ...

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

In a similar vein, one thing about the Starkiller that I haven't seen much discussion on is the fact that it isn't "just" capable of obliterating multiple planets in a single shot. It wipes out entire solar systems, by design but not even as its intended objective; it's something that just incident...

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Just saw The Force Awakens . This is a movie weakened by several glaring flaws: in the end, though, I still enjoyed it. Bear in mind this is what I can remember/focus on, at 1am. Let me lay out what the movie established: the New Republic formed from the remnants of the Empire and the Rebel Alliance...

The previous trailer had some great dialogue, too.

"Wait! You might be asking yourself, why the red suit? Why, I'll tell you why: it's so no one can see me bleed. See, this guy here has the right idea: he's wearing the brown pants."

Well, the second red band trailer for Deadpool is out, and fucking hilarious. Like Deadpool or not, Ryan Reynolds certainly captures his hyperactive charm.
