After 23 years of living in the same place, the house is sold and it's time to move someplace else. Err, keyword being "someplace." I have no idea what I'm doing since I've never left home. Not helping matters is the fact my contract with my employer has ended, meaning I'm unemployed, and there's now a deadline to leave the house by the end of the month.

Believe it or not, I can relate. I'm looking to relocate, myself, at the moment...and as you said, after living in one place for a number of years, the prospect is a bit daunting.

I hardly ever post because I legit can't think of anything to say most of the time. Even online with its privilege of anonymity I find it difficult to talk to anyone. But I'm sorry that you're in a hard spot, from the sound of things.

So some asshole abandoned a little kitten, rather than do the right thing and send it to the SPCA if they didn't want it anymore. That kitten ended up in our garage, and it was a mission to get it out. It took three days since the thing was by far the most talented escape artist I've ever met. Poor thing was desperate and malnourished, and I got bitten when I finally caught it, but good news is she's gone into care. But seriously, fuck those people who just abandon their pets.

I've never been able to comprehend how anyone can do that to an animal they'd supposedly taken on the responsibility of caring for. You deserve a lot of credit for going to bat for her.
